Title Pending

So it's been about a week here at Lakehead University and so far not too bad.

I am almost shocked at the pace of these classes I'm in, but fitting a full school year into a month I suppose requires an equivalent pace to an F1 car. For those out of the loop, those go pretty fast (in a loop.. HA classic). For data whores, look up their speeds, I'm not google.

Okay that was a bit uncalled for, but you get it. Hmm, what else is new? Lots actually! My latest discoveries are as follows:

Want a pro tip for student laundry? Don't do it. Well, that sounds gross, what I mean is febreeze everything! Some fabric refresher right after wearing and hang immediately! Easily doubles the time between washes, that's not a scientific fact but like, good enough.

Also, studying significantly reduces the urge to eat. I literally don't even think about food. Doing problems and practicing the math makes time fly by! And I actually don't mind it.. for now. It's only been a week so we'll see how that goes.

Every student should get a Microsoft Surface Pro3 tablet. The greatest school tool I've ever used. Its not good enough for me to ditch a main computer but it drastically increases my efficiency. Microsoft should pay me.  Fuck everyone should pay me... for this impressive AF advice!

Side note: For anyone older than like 27, AF means as fuck. In the context of "CHILLL ASSS FUUUUUCK".

Ok ok back to my update. Between the internet, classes and homework, the days are flying and the feelings of being so far away have gone and passed. Maybe I just needed some adjustment time.

I do miss the luxuries of doing absolutely nothing but I feel better knowing I'm not just wasting time now.

Also, I heard some great advice from a video of a child genius today. And he was absolutely spot on and no one does this anymore. I've also been exposed to this general idea from the guys of Freakonomics. I don't remember the person they were talking about but the topic stuck with me.

Stop and think. Not think as in think stupid things like facebook or gossip. Think about something you are interested in. Great ideas come from creativity. And creativity comes from thinking. We have become too occupied in day to day life to stop and think and it's a huge problem for humanity. Take a few minutes a day and just think.

Think about problems and find creative solutions. Why not right? There is nothing to lose other than your 15th scroll through instagram.

Anyways, back to youtube.

Until next time!

P.S. I haven't had time to think of a funny topic for a blog post lately but I will deliver one soon!!

Euroblog Part 7

This series ended up being far longer than I anticipated. I could make an ebook about my travels! Who am I kidding, no one would want to read that... let alone buy it. Also, side note: Polarsteps was so great up until a couple days ago when it went haywire and threw a bunch of phantom travel paths on my map. Support said it has been fixed however, there was no way to remove the phantom lines. This all makes for a ton of work for me to redo all of the travel steps. It's unfortunate but I understand these things happen. Anyway, it's all updated now and working as it should, sorry to my 7000  7 followers for any inconvenience. Now that it's all back to normal, here is the link if you'd like to check out my trip! If you missed any of the series, check it out on my social media feeds or on my blog homepage. The last post is right here! July 22 2017 Wow, am I ever behind on this. [Left off in Florence] So I went up the massive dome of the Florence Cathedral...

Tim Hortons: An In-depth Review

As I sit here pretending to be a scriptwriter at a budget Starbucks  Tim Hortons, feeling slightly out of place, I write this review. This will be an attempt at a new series on my blog, since I've been dry with ideas since returning to Canada. Tim Hortons is a Canadian classic coffee shop turned fast food restaurant while still retaining its coffeeshop status. Apparently, it used to be excellent until they changed coffee beans, but that was before my coffee drinking days so I and most people around my age probably feel the same (we don't feel anything about the changed beans). It also used to be cheap, but since high-status coffee shops like the aforementioned Starbucks and Second Cup somehow get away with charging 10$ for a drink, the friendly neighborhood Canadian brand jacks prices to compete. At least it still has its loyal customers. Fun fact, the first Tim's restaurant was in my hometown of Hamilton! It's also the usual go-to spot for a quick bathroom brea...

"Creative yet Clickbaity Title on Solar Energy!"

In the last post, I talked about what the Sun was. A giant nuclear fusion reactor. And since it is so good at being the Sun, it not only provides heat to our Earth, but also light. Lots of light. Hopefully, this isn't news to you (yikes!). Light is an interesting thing we very much take for granted. Look around, there is light in the room you're in, light coming from the screen you're reading this on (unless you're psycho and still print things..) and light from outside. Even at night! The light from the moon, isn't really light from the moon, but a reflection of light from the Sun. Did I just blow your mind? Probably not.. I guess I'm failing as a writer. There is a lot of light available, and all that light also carries energy, rather, it is energy. In reality, the light from your phone screen doesn't really have the potential to power anything, neither does a light bulb. But think about how many light bulbs it would take to equal the amount of light t...
